GloriaFood Is Shutting Down (April 2027): A Migration Checklist

If your restaurant uses GloriaFood, you've probably already heard the news: Oracle is shutting the platform down on April 30, 2027. New signups are already closed. If you're one of the roughly 123,000 restaurants that built their online ordering around it, that date is now on your calendar whether you like it or not.

This isn't a reason to panic — it's still some time out — but it is a reason to start planning before the deadline turns into a scramble.

What's actually happening

A few key facts, as far as they're publicly known:

• GloriaFood stops operating on April 30, 2027.
• New restaurant signups are no longer being accepted.
• Existing accounts are expected to keep working until the shutdown date, but exports and data access are being wound down ahead of it — the safest assumption is that waiting until the last month to move your data is not a good plan.

A checklist before you switch

1. Export everything now, not later. Your menu, categories, prices, and any customer or order history you're allowed to keep should be pulled out and saved somewhere safe today, while the export tools still work normally.

2. Decide what you actually used GloriaFood for. Most restaurants used it for one or two things: a QR/website ordering widget, or a booking/reservation flow. Knowing which one matters, because not every alternative covers both.

3. Compare on the features you'll actually miss, not just price. If table ordering mattered to you, make sure whatever you move to still has it — some "QR menu" tools are display-only and don't take orders at all.

4. Re-enter your menu somewhere you control. A CSV export of your dishes and prices is usually the fastest way to get a new system live without retyping everything by hand.

5. Print new QR codes before the old ones stop working, not after. Table tents and stickers pointing at a dead link are worse for guests than no QR code at all.

6. Give yourself a real overlap window. Don't switch the week before the shutdown. A month or two of running both, or of running the new system while GloriaFood is still technically alive as a backup, removes almost all the risk.
